Bacon is, in our opinion, one of the best things ever. We are, like most people, huge bacon fans BUT it does make quite the mess frying it in a pan with grease splattering everywhere so as soon as we found out how to make it in the air fryer, we were very excited to share this method with you. How to Make Bacon in the Air Fryer
This process is pretty straight forward so don’t expect anything complicated, that’s the best part of using an air fryer right? Lay out your bacon strips in the air fryer basket so that they are not overlapping. Our air fryer can hold between 6-8 strips per layer. I recommend doing bacon in a single layer if your air fryer can do stacks.
Once you have it ready to go, slide the basket into the air fryer and cook at 390 degrees F for approximately 5 minutes (depending on the thickness of the bacon. For thick-cut, you may need a little longer).
Once the time is up, open the air fryer and the bacon should look like this:
Flip it carefully with some tongs and make sure it’s still not overlapping, then slide the basket back in and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes (depending on the level of crispiness you prefer). Check intermittently to be sure not to overcook it.
When done, it should look similar to this:
Now simply remove from the air fryer basket and blot with paper towels to remove any excess grease before serving.
That’s all there is to it folks! Making bacon in the air fryer is quick and easy. Our air fryer has removable grates that can be placed in the dishwasher making it super easy to clean.
